Hello and thanks for visiting!
I am a glass artist based in Medina County, Ohio. I draw inspiration from the beautiful landscape here, at the edge of the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley. Its rich mosaic of winding rivers, dense forests, deep shale ravines and rolling fields often spark ideas for creating fused glass and stained glass pieces.
My glass journey began later in life.
I spent most of my adult life doing research in an academic setting as an anthropologist, and raising my three children. While I have lived in many places, including Texas, Kentucky, New York, Arizona, and Michigan, I eventually settled back in my birthplace of Ohio. In 2023, as my kids left the nest and I approached retirement, I finally had some time to spend nurturing my creative side. I was gifted some scrap glass, took a stained glass class at a local art school, and was immediately hooked. Over the next few years, I learned everything I could, mostly from books, on-line videos and classes and, most importantly, trial and error. I began experimenting with glass fusing when I got my kiln in 2025, and that has become my passion. Glass is an endlessly fascinating material to work with, and I love that learning about it in all its forms will be a lifelong project.
